How does ozonated water disinfection work?

Ozonated water disinfection uses ozone (O3) to eliminate bacteria, viruses and other harmful organisms from objects and surfaces. Ozone is a naturally occurring gas composed of three oxygen atoms (O), which is a powerful oxidizing agent capable of destroying organic molecules. Our generator produces ozone from the oxygen in the air. The ozone is then dissolved in water to create ozonated water, a powerful oxidizing agent. When ozone comes into contact with micro-organisms, it oxidizes their cell membranes, causing them to die and leaves them unable to reproduce. Ozone then decomposes into oxygen (O2) and water (H2O), making ozonated water harmless and environmentally friendly. Disinfection with ozonated water is an effective and environmentally-friendly process, as it does not produce harmful by-products like conventional chemical disinfectants.
